Experience the art of glassmaking with Henri. She opens the doors of her charming workshop, where you will have the privilege of creating your own glass object combining painting and molding through firing.
Workshop outline
• Welcome and introduction: Henri welcomes you and presents the technique used, which allows painting directly onto the glass before firing at 800°C. Explore the types of creations possible: bowl, ashtray or dish.
• Choosing a design and colors: start by drawing your own design or choose one from a wide variety. Select the colors, then let your creativity and the joy of coloring take over.
• Transferring the drawing onto the glass: thanks to the transparency of the white glass (20 cm × 20 cm format), accurately transfer the outlines of your drawing placed underneath.
• Glass painting: fill in the colored areas using a paint made of tinted glass powder and oil. This technique allows for great precision and touch-ups once the paint is dry.
• Baking and thermoforming: bake your creation at 800°C for three hours, allowing the painted glass to take its final shape by thermoforming.
Come back the next day to collect your beautiful glass artwork, ready to enhance your interior.
